Doodling with Derwinne

Earlier this month I sat down with Westpark High School student, Derwinne, for her Doodling with Derwinne series.
Derwinne interviews candidates and community leaders from across the region all while doodling. I had the privilege of being her very first interview. It is not easy talking and trying to conjure up my dream house, but I did it!
It meant a lot that Derwinne asked me to be her first guest. She wants to be a photojournalist, covering sports which sounds super cool to me! And it was just a joy to watch her approach the whole process with a determined effort that blew me away. She is a shinning example of what kids can do when education focuses its energy and resources on them.
