Before we end the month, I want to acknowledge that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

This year marks 25 years since the month of April was designated to bring awareness and prevention to sexual violence and assault. And although opinions are thankfully changing, this graphic illustrates that many Americans are still experiencing some form of sexual assault or harassment, much of which begins before the age of 12.

It's important that we protect victims and continue supporting law enforcements efforts in seeking justice.

If you want more information on resources for survivors and families, go to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.
