Communities across Placer and El Dorado Counties deserve leadership that stands up for them when federal or state actions threaten their rights, freedoms, and access to essential services. This includes defending constitutional protections, ensuring families are not harmed by political decisions, and making sure no one is targeted or left behind.

​In the Assembly, I will focus on supporting legal challenges to federal overreach, preparing state resources to protect critical programs like health care and child care, and working with other states to safeguard residents from political retaliation, with a commitment to protecting all people in our communities.
Make Proposition 36 Work for Our Communities
Voters made it clear: they want safer communities and real solutions to addiction. Proposition 36 was passed with strong support, but without the funding needed to deliver results. In the Assembly, I will work to ensure responsible, transparent funding for treatment programs and local courts so the law works the way voters intended — improving public safety while helping people get the support they need.
Support Small Businesses and Local Jobs
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. They create jobs, strengthen our communities, and drive innovation. I will work to cut unnecessary red tape, expand access to capital, and make it easier for entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses here at home.
Oppose a Mileage Tax
For many families in our district, especially in rural areas, driving is not a choice, it’s a necessity. A mileage-based tax would unfairly burden working families who rely on their cars every day. I will oppose policies that increase costs on those who can least afford it and instead focus on practical, fair solutions to our transportation challenges.
Protect Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity
Our district is built on the values of fairness, respect, and opportunity. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community and have the chance to succeed. I will stand up for policies that protect individual rights, ensure equal treatment under the law, and keep our communities welcoming and inclusive.
Strengthen Local Control
Local communities know their needs best. In parts of our district, especially the rural areas, residents want more control over local decisions and resources. I will support efforts that empower communities to govern themselves and advocate for the tools they need to do so effectively.
