While the votes are still being counted, it does appear the race didn’t go our way.

 

I want to thank everyone who gave of their hard-earned money, who came out to knock on thousands of doors, and took the time to make thousands of calls. I am so very grateful for all of your support.

I ran for this office because I love this state, this district, and all its wonderful diversity. And this district deserves a representative in the legislature who feels the same and understands that the job is about representing all of us. Although we didn’t do it this time, this is only the beginning.
